Young is interested in combining fabrics and new media to encourage people to slow down, reflect, and connect.

This series Cycle of Life is a reflection on birth, rebirth and transformation.

Young's distinct digital surrealistic photographic composites and collages- each represent a different phase and season in her family’s life - from birth to death - explores notions of memory, identity and living in the moment.

The bold combination of color, portraits, textures, and iconography seeks to allude to life’s fleeting nature and the artist’s attempt to capture and distill pivotal moments of development of time and life.

This series was displayed during a meditation event in Rolling Hills, CA, where her work was installed within a tree. Throughout the retreat, guests were encouraged to inspect, touch, feel, meditate and get lost amongst each piece.
